The story of Ski Lodge Reineke

Learn more about our history

It all started in 1911

Ski Lodge Reineke was built 1911/1912 by the Italian architect Angelo Comini (*1839 - †1916) - known as one of the most important architects in Bad Gastein.

Named after an epos

The name of the hotel comes from the medieval epos ”Reineke Fuchs”. In 1794 the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote his own version of the tale.

The hotel becomes bigger

Between 1929/30 the hotel expanded. Well known Austrian architects as Franz Xaver Franzmair and Karl Huber were men behind the project.

The large renovation 2012

The hotel was completely renovated in 2012. Today the 30 elegantly furnished rooms are spacious and modern. But the hotel still breaths the sporty, alpine character of the architect Angelo Comini.
